House Bill 118 Signed Over the Weekend

Governor Cooper signed House Bill 118 into law over the holiday weekend. This bill grants liability protections against claims for relief relating to contracting COVID-19. This law does not protect against gross negligence and requires that all establishments provide reasonable notice of actions taken to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 to individuals.
