Tell us about your career:
I started out in the maintenance department part time, while I was active duty military. Once I honorably separated from the military, I worked for a larger local company and ultimately was drawn back to work for my wife’s family business. Since coming back, I’ve worked in maintenance, where I was lucky enough to be mentored by Mr. Hairr who worked with Wellons Realty for 52 years. I learned so much and was able to avoid mistakes thanks in large to his wisdom and oversight.
I currently oversee maintenance and our property management. Managing two departments is difficult and I could not do it without the help of Sherry in maintenance and Monica in Rentals. Those two individuals are what make it possible. In addition to maintenance and property management, there are two storage facilities we own and operate in NC & SC.
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
Stay hungry for knowledge and listen to those who are mentoring you.

My wife and son are what keep pushing me to be the best I can.
