Tell us about your career:
I have been in the industry for about 10 years and I have been employed with Blue Ridge Companies for nine years. I started my career path as a part-time leasing agent, helping those in need find their new homes. I worked as a part-time leasing agent for about three years and was later promoted to Assistant Manager. During my career as Assistant Manager for 2.5 years, I never saw myself becoming a Property Manager. Later on, I discovered my calling was to become a Community Manager.
After earning my Property Manager Licences course in about four months, I was promoted to Community Manager. Becoming a Community Manager has been my most significant career accomplishment. During this time, I have served on committees with the upper state apartment association. I still serve on several committees, such as the Trade Show Committee, Government Affairs, and Careers Committee. I was nominated for the 20s in their 20s back in 2022 with AANC.
My most recent accomplishment is being selected through the National Apartment Association 2022 Diversity Leadership Program. In addition to these achievements, I was chosen as one of the 2022 Apartmentalize social media ambassadors showcasing all the Apartmentalize experience had to offer. My desire in this industry is to inspire others who look like me that they have an opportunity to expand and be the best they can be.
