Tell us about your career:
It was love at first lease! I began my career as a leasing agent in Fayetteville, NC at 21 years old. At 24 I managed my first lease-up of 124 units and I continued my lease-up career with nine throughout the Southeast with some stabilized properties along the way. In the last three years, I joined Grubb Properties and leased up a 344-unit mid-rise, supported on-site teams and Regionals as an Area Lease-Up Manager, and was recently promoted to Regional Property Manager.
My favorite part of my career? The passion for finding someone their new home, the opportunity to have a positive impact on someone’s experience, leading teams to their own successes, being a part of a bigger picture in a small, but, impactful way.
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
Kindness, patience, and passion go a long way! Your attitude about anything is perceived as your attitude about everything, make it positive!
