Tell us about your career:

My property management career began when I walked into my apartment’s leasing office with a question concerning a notice that had gone out. The property manager asked if I wanted to apply for the soon-to-be-available leasing position. Eight years later and I’m still thriving in this industry! I’ve had the pleasure of wearing a number of different hats in property management. From leasing and then community manager to working at the corporate level as a property accountant, a trainer, and in marketing, I’ve had the opportunity to experience so much of what this industry has to offer. I’ve even gotten to practice a little maintenance!

My current role brings me so much joy as it allows me to focus on my passion for people and fostering their success. As a Training and Development Manager, I have the privilege of working both for and with industry professionals at the site level. Tasked with finding new ways to improve their on-site experiences and applauding their achievements, I am living my definition of career fulfillment.

I look forward to the new challenges and adventures that my career in property management will bring me!

What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:

After spending the majority of my adult life in the food service industry, I want to share that this industry has almost unlimited potential for growth. Try new roles, find your passion and nothing will be able to hold you back from being successful!
