My name is Amanda Miller, and I am a Multisite Community Manager currently overseeing both residential and commercial assets in Raleigh, North Carolina. My career within the multi-family industry began only five years ago, when I accepted my first position as a part-time leasing agent with TriBridge Residential. I began my career in Charlotte, North Carolina, and I can wholeheartedly admit that from the very start, I knew property management would become my life long passion. Within my first five years I was fortunate to gain experience through the various roles of leasing, assisting, and managing, and I want to share my love for this industry with others. Property management has become a fulfilling passion of mine, and I am always looking for an opportunity to meet colleagues within this industry to share the very same enthusiasm.
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
To anyone that is interested in the multi-family industry or specifically working on a property level, I strongly suggest that you DO NOT HESITATE! This career field is one that is always changing, always adapting, and always growing. You will be working within a fulfilling profession that can always offer the potential for growth and opportunity.
Anything else you would like to share:
One thing I'd like to share with anyone currently working in property management or looking to join the multi-family industry is to remember how important we are to so many. At the end of the day, we provide people with a place and a community to call home. We are the first point of contact for people in need of an apartment, people who are relocating to new cities or states, and the experience that we provide sometimes offers a greater impact than what we can imagine.
