Tell Us About Your Career.
I started as a leasing consultant 14 years ago when a girlfriend called me about an open position on her property. I thought I would give it a shot for 6 months while figuring out what I wanted to be "when I grew up." Little did I know, but this "fun job" would turn into a fun career! When my property sold after 2 years, I moved over to the vendor side and have LOVED every minute of it! The 7 years I spent with AFR allowed me to get involved in several of NC's Apartment Associations, learn about the amazing management company's in the area, and meet some really wonderful friends. 5 years ago I was approached by The Liberty Group and asked to open their Raleigh, NC Branch. I now oversee our Raleigh, Nashville, and Kansas City offices, and couldn't be more thankful to be a part of such an incredible company in an amazing industry!

What advice do you have for someone just starting out in your field?
Get invovled in your local apartment association - you never know what exciting opportunities may be in your future unless you show up!
