Tell Us About Your Career.
As the Government Affairs Director at the Triangle Apartment Association, I am the lead local lobbyist for issues affecting the multifamily industry within the Triangle. I started my career with the New York City Council and later worked with a large consulting firm before arriving at the TAA, and I feel that the work that I have done in the past provided me a broad base of experience in government affairs, public relations, and political campaigns which I have utilized to advocate for our industry.

What advice do you have for someone just starting out in your field?
Don't be afraid of change. In politics, things can change by the year, the month, or even the day, and you have to be ready to adapt to new names and faces, new issues, and new political dynamics. If you can't do that, you won't be able to work in politics for very long.
