NAA February 2021 Activities & Initiatives
Below you will find highlights of NAA’s most important FEBRUARY 2021
activities and initiatives.
NAA’s First Digital Studio Event
Join us for the NAA Digital Studio half-day event on February 25 at 11:30 a.m. EST. This online educational event presented by Lowe’s Pro Supply will focus on Maintaining and Preserving Your Assets, addressing the challenges our apartment maintenance professionals face as COVID-19 persists, disrupting maintenance practices and threatening asset value. Experience inspiration from the keynote speaker strategic assessment and planning for your properties through roundtable discussions and an industry panel as well as entertainment and networking to close out the day.
Access the COVID-19 Rental Housing Support Resources
As part of the COVID-19 Rental Housing Support Initiative, a resource library focusing on mental health provides information and tools to address challenges, because mental health is as vital as physical health, especially in times of crises. The first part of this resource library focuses on isolation and will be followed with additional resources (released over the next few weeks) on the following topics: resiliency, anxiety and financial stress.
The NALP Credential is now CALP
NAAEI has changed its National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) credential to the Certified Apartment Leasing Professional (CALP) credential. This new, enhanced curriculum for training leasing professionals is now available!
Advocate is Going Virtual
Registration is opening soon for NAA’s virtual Advocate! Join us online March 8 for a riveting keynote speaker, informative breakout sessions and a comprehensive issues briefing before meeting virtually with your members of Congress. With the CDC eviction moratorium extended through March, and an additional moratorium extension through September looming, the future of our industry depends on Congressional action. We need passage of responsible, sustainable housing policy in 2021 and beyond, and you can help ensure that our industry’s voice is represented and heard in the housing policy debate.
