NAA Activities & Initiatives
Below you will find highlights of NAA’s most important activities and initiatives.
First Annual Diversity & Inclusion Awareness Week
NAA’s first Annual D&I Awareness Week is happening October 11-15. Join us for five masterclass education sessions on diversity and inclusion that provide you with information on storytelling, allyship and leadership in the workplace. Each day, you’ll have the opportunity to learn and engage with other rental housing professionals on new ways to expand your company’s D&I conversation and make actionable, long-lasting changes that benefit everyone. NAA Anonymous Mental Health Survey
Mental and emotional health have always been important topics, but they have become even more so due to the challenges we all have been facing during the pandemic. NAA is excited to announce a partnership with third-party provider Swift Bunny to conduct an anonymous, two-minute, employee mental and emotional health survey. We will be reaching out to our contacts at all management company members to ask that they participate in this national survey, which is anonymous, easy to execute, and complimentary.
NAA Launches Lawsuit Seeking Damages
NAA has filed a lawsuit against the federal government seeking $26.6 billion in damages for rental housing providers who have suffered under the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) unlawful federal eviction moratorium. In light of last week’s Supreme Court ruling striking down the CDC’s order, it is now more important than ever to ensure that everyone is made whole again. More information can be found here.
