Tell us about your career:
I am a multifamily property management professional with six years of experience. I recently transitioned to an operations support role as an analyst, and am greatly looking forward to learning and growth! Previously I was a floating Community Manager at Bell Partners, Inc where I focused on developing managers and teams, supporting others through special projects, and looking for opportunities to help others develop their careers! I'm deeply passionate about being a team leader, and engaging the talents and strengths of those around me.
I am extremely devoted to the Triangle Apartment Association, I serve on the Board of Directors, as well as the XCEL Committee as a Co-chair. Our mission on the board is to govern and foster the leading resource committed to the advancement of the rental housing industry through advocacy, engagement, and innovation. On XCEL our focus is to engage, develop, and serve with an emphasis on developing tomorrow’s new leaders.
Previously, I have worked in student housing with multi-site experience as an Area Manager. I have also had the opportunity of working with both owner/operator and fee-based management groups.
If you catch me outside of work, I'm likely outdoors! I enjoy hiking and disc golf – and would love to chat with you over one of the many beautiful courses or parks in our area! You can also find me watching a Virginia Tech football or basketball game - Go Hokies!
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
The best advice given to me when I started has served me well - get involved! Apartment Associations are more than just networking. I have learned personal skills, practiced conflict resolution in a volunteer setting, earned my CAM credential, and have the privilege of serving on the board. All of these contributed to my career path, and I love watching others get involved and find the same value I have.
