AANC Legislative Update | HB 566 Becomes Law
On Monday, September 9, HB 556: Tenancy in Common/E-Notary/Small Claims Changes, a critical industry bill championed by the AANC team throughout the legislative biennium became law, over the Governor’s veto. In-depth information on this bill and what it means for the rental housing industry can be found here.
The other bill championed by AANC, SB 445: Recording of Court-Filed Documents, was overridden by the Senate on Monday, September 9th, and is awaiting its veto override vote in the House. We will continue to advocate for this vote to take place in the House later this fall.
AANC would like to thank our government affairs and lobbying teams for their incredible work on these bills, and to everyone who supported these efforts and took action when asked. This is really great news for the industry!
