Tell us about your career:
I started in property management in 2017 with Hawthorne Residential Partners, and by 2018 I was a community manager! Since then, things in my career have just kept moving forward! The apartment association has been integral in my career progression. I was connected with my current role through someone in the association reaching out!
I've been with Willow Bridge since July 2021, and I absolutely love it here! Over my career I've been awarded Assistant Manager of the Year, Community Manager of the Year, and Community of the Year!
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
No two days are the same, property management will always keep you on your toes! My best advice would be to face each day as a new day full of opportunities. Get to know your residents, there are some amazing connections to be made there, and always take your break. We give a lot to our jobs, and you're going to be best set for success if you take care of yourself first.
Anything else you would like to share:
I have been at my current community, The Northside at Merrimon for almost three years. I am getting ready to transition over to a new community, The Wyre River Arts in the River Arts District of Asheville and I am so excited for my next chapter!
