Tell us about your career:
Jennifer Nix is a creative business professional and has been a multi-site property manager for over 19 years. Jennifer has worked with major property management companies in the southeast region of the United States, and is currently the Area Manager for the Charlotte Region with New Urban Residential.
Jennifer enjoys working with passionate business leaders who desire creative methodologies along with fresh perspectives within their corporate culture and branding strategies. She believes that merging reputation management with social branding closes the gap between employees, residents, and owners. Jennifer is a proud auntie of four and enjoys reading, traveling, video editing, and playing tennis in her spare time.
Jennifer obtained her CAM (Certified Apartment Manager) in 2005 and is an alumnus of Full Sail University with her Bachelor of Science (2017) and Master of Science in Business (2020). In March of 2022, Jennifer joined New Urban Residential as a member of the corporate team alongside Ray Marotta, Seth Wolfman, and Tyler Goldman. "We are a boutique management company with big management company values."
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
For someone just starting in Property Management I would say, always begin with the end in mind. Every opportunity that is presented to you will not always go as you expect it, and sometimes can be even bigger than you can imagine, but regardless of the outcome, what matters most is what you learned during that experience.
