Tell us about your career:
I started as a part time Leasing Agent with AIMCO IN 1999 and went to a full-time position with Hercules Living shortly after a move. I knew I wanted to grow with a company and was searching in the Jacksonville, NC area for a company I could grow with. I found Blue Ridge Companies and asked several times about job openings at their community, and in 2002 I received a call from the property that I applied at. There was an opening!
From there I have enjoyed 19 years working with various communities within Blue Ridge, taking in every opportunity I could along the way. I earned my CALP, CAM and CAPS during my career with Blue Ridge and volunteered throughout my time in the industry with the area Apartment Associations I worked within and learned from those same associations, creating relationships with my peers along the way. I became a Community Manager in 2012 with Blue Ridge and have had the opportunity to have this position at a few different communities. I recently accepted an advancement in my career with Blue Ridge Companies as the Commercial Property Manager for the portfolio.
