What does volunteer leader mean to you?
It's a great way to invest in the industry and your career. As a volunteer leader it's important to motivate and inspire others. It requires a sense of professionalism and commitment.
What advice do you have for others who are looking to serve in a leadership role?
My advice is to stay informed, educated, and be a role model for others. Leadership roles help build a strong and effective pipeline of other leaders.
What is your favotire AANC moment?
My favorite AANC moment is the Education & Legislative Conference in Raleigh. There are educational opportunities, lots of networking, and advocating for important issues.
What is one goal you hope to accomplish in 2019 with AANC?
I hope to gain knowledge, make a difference in our industry, and be a mentor to others. Being a part of AANC will make me a better leader within my local association, as well.
