Tell us about your career:
I started with Carroll as a leasing consultant in 2018 in Wilmington, NC. I worked at a property that had 198 units when I first started. I then transitioned to a property with 288 units. At that property I worked my way up to be promoted to assistant property manager. I am now working towards personal goals within my position to hopefully be promoted again in the future.
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
Be open to change! We are constantly learning a new practice each and every day. Be ready to strengthen your skills of problem solving and multitasking. Be excited to learn about the market and what it all has to offer. You can meet some great industry leaders and make so many different professional connections.
Anything else you would like to share:
Remember always that we work for our residents. This is THEIR home. We have jobs because of them renting. Listen to their needs as it may improve your property more than you think. Small acts create a big impact!
