Tell us about your career:
I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Marketing and International Business. I've been fortunate enough to work in multiple facets of marketing since I graduated. I've worked in sales, selling radio ads. I've worked for financial advisors, planning retirement seminars. I finally found my way to multifamily, and have been with Ginkgo Residential for five years. They say that once you go multifamily, you're in for life. They were right! I love this industry, but I'm so glad that I had experiences in other industries that I was able to bring to this company.
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
I would say to try everything to see what part of marketing you like best. There are so many routes you can take within marketing: sales, analytics, digital, content creation, etc. Figure out what brings you joy.
Anything else you would like to share:
What I love about this industry is the people. We have a real community of people who love to teach and mentor others. Without them, I wouldn't be able to grow within my position and career.
