Tell us about your career: 

I started in the Industry 10 years ago as a part time Leasing Agent. The community I lived at was hiring for a few hours on the weekend and I thought it would be fun to try something new. Turns out, I LOVED it and decided to make the Multifamily Industry my career. I quickly moved into a full-time leasing position, then Property Manager and now I’m a member of my company’s corporate leadership team as the Sales and Marketing Manager.

What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:

1. Be reliable. If you say you’re going to do something do it!
2. Learn as much as you can. Crosstrain, Network, attend classes, get designations, etc...
3. Think of feedback as a gift. Feedback you receive can help you grow and further develop in your career.
4. Don’t underestimate the impact of a handwritten thank you note.
