Tell us about your career:
When I started my career in advertising and custom displays for retail clients in New York City, I would not have guessed it would lead me to this industry I have come to love! Six years ago I moved to Charlotte, NC and took a job in digital advertising, catering to the multifamily housing industry. The connections I made have given me many opportunities leading to my current role as a Director of National Accounts for Powerhouse. I have been very fortunate to have diverse experiences in my career that guided me to the Construction Services focus I have today. Unexpectedly, my work with custom builds years ago ended up aligning well with the renovation and capital improvement knowledge needed to succeed in my current role. All of the career moves I made seemed to guide me to my passion for helping Multifamily owners and management companies improve housing for the everyday apartment renter.
What advice do you have for someone just starting in your field:
Be open to new experiences, and embrace and learn from the challenges you come across! I feel so lucky to be involved in an industry that helps and supports so many diverse individuals. Try to overcome the everyday hustle and appreciate that we make a difference in peoples lives. We help renters with the housing that best fits their family needs and lifestyle.

Always take the time to introduce yourself to others at events and get to know your industry peers. This industry is very social, and the more people you know, the better opportunities you will have down the line.
